Trampolinist Kat Driscoll from Chatham secured her place in the Olympics by winning her latest qualifying event on Saturday.
The 26 year old secured her place at the Olympics with a superb display at the Liverpool event and will now compete against the best in the world in London.
Driscoll takes the sole trampolining place at this year’s Olympics after securing the team a spot by finishing seventh in the World Championships in November.
Yet to be ratified by the British Olympic Association, Driscoll will challenge for a medal after impressing for Team GB over the past couple of years.
A clearly delighted Driscoll tweeted this shortly after winning in Liverpool: “HUGE thanks to everyone for your support & congrats!! Been an incredible day.”
Now living in West Rainton near Newcastle, Driscoll has just over eight weeks to prepare for the biggest challenge of her career.
